Designed for grown-ups too
You decide how it sounded
The adult rates each try — Got it, Nearly or Try again. No unreliable automatic judging.
See what you've practised
A simple progress view shows which sounds and words have been practised.
Tips for home
Each book comes with short, practical ideas for helping at home.
Private by design
- No child accounts or sign-up.
- No ads and no tracking.
- Recordings stay on your device.
- Works offline once installed.
The optional "Ask Pip" voice feedback is off by default; a grown-up must turn it on and confirm each time before a recording is sent.

How it works
Saved automatically on your device
Unlocked books, stickers, practice ratings and your child's recordings are saved in your browser on that phone, tablet or computer. Come back days or weeks later and it's all still there.
Private for every family
Each visitor's progress stays in their own browser. Families never see or change each other's data. No shared accounts, no tracking cookies, no central database of children.
What to keep in mind
No syncing between devices
To protect young children's privacy there are no accounts or cloud storage, so progress doesn't move from one device to another (for example, from a phone to an iPad).
Private or incognito windows
In a private browsing window, the browser clears saved progress as soon as the window closes.
Siblings on one tablet
Children sharing one device currently share the same bookshelf and sticker count.
For teachers and speech-language pathologists
The books and app can support home practice between sessions: families read the story, then practise the target sounds in short, playful turns, with the grown-up guiding each try.
Talk and Play supports practice at home. It is not a substitute for assessment or therapy by a qualified speech-language pathologist.
